Ever feel like your lost and don't know where to go? Well I say all your choices are the right ones!

One day Alice came to a fork in a road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked, “where do you want to go?” Was his response. “I don’t know” Alice answered. “Then” said the cat, “It doesn’t matter .”

I know in the past I was plagued with the nagging feeling to chose the right thing to do with my life. I am here to tell you that there are only right choices and they all lead you to exactly where you need to go.

A gift from my mom

Today I Received a lovely gift in the mail. I parcel from my mother with some home-made cookies, a Christmas card with a hand-written note and a suggestion to read an article she included inside. The GOCranbrook magazine was from October 2017 and she had the page marked on the cover. Joel in Wonderland page 7 written by Danielle Cardozo.

I grabbed a gingersnap and flipped opened the magazine to page 7. What I was greeted with was a picture of some goofy smiling guy. Now in the first page I can see why my mom sent me the article, Joel suffered from severe anxiety as a child and worried about everything from how stray animals could survive the winter to apples not being chosen in the grocery store. My daughter also has anxiety and a huge heart that sometimes makes her life much harder.

This article was about how Joel followed his passion which was also his coping skill and was met with unexpected success. Now the beauty comes as I flip the page. I am greeted with the most amazing mystical photos that spark the imagination with a story in each image.

Now I am moved and inspired. (Check out his amazing work here http://joelrobison.com/ ) The gift Joel has is amazing and deserves to be seen by everyone. And this sparked me. This article is beautiful, and I have been looking for a way to share with people some of the inspiration the hits me in unexpected moments, so the inspiration was to use this as my first blog post. Reading the quote from Alice in wonderland was an ah ha moment.

This cracked my mind wide open. This is the exact question that every person is asking what is my purpose? What should I do? And this cat he has the answer, if you don’t know where you are headed it doesn’t matter how you get there.

The best and most exciting thing you can do to live your purpose is to live every moment with passion. Well what would that even look like? Finding an interest and get lost in it. Do something you love without and need to be noticed, recognized, acknowledged or even paid for it. Just do it because you love to and it makes you happy.

Joel found a way to cope with his anxiety and was discovered by Coke and ended up going on a nine-month 84 country tour for Coke and FIFA. Joel had created the pictures for himself and his success was an unexpected reward to his passion. Thank you Joel because you create amazing photos. They inspired me and endless others. He also went on to start a “what it looks like project” to share awareness and end stigma around mental health. Mental health doesn’t end when you become known or achieve success.

I feel like Joel is a great example for someone who feels like they can’t “because”. When you can go inward connect to your inner being and, in that moment, you will often be inspired to action. Now not all inspiration is to become a famous model or race car driver. Inspiration from your higher self starts out much softer and quieter. You get the idea to go for a walk. Out walking you walk past a sign for paint night you feel inspired to attend. While at paint night you meet a girl from your neighbourhood who likes the new Chinese restaurant that opened on the corner. The next day for dinner you go to pick up Chinese food. While in line you over hear a couple talking about a concert in the park. You decided to go. While there you meet a guy from out of town that ends up becoming your husband who also drives race cars.

Now of course the end of that story is silly but my point is every choice you make can be made from a place of inspiration and the path it takes you down will always be the right path if you are open to following the crumbs. You could be someone else’s inspiration when you follow your inner guidance.

Thank you mom, for following you inner guidance and sending me the article. It inspired me, and I hope I inspire others through this post.

P.S the cookies were delicious, and I love you!
